the window from my previous apartment. beautiful golden light would shine in through the window in the morning during the summer months, but in the fall, as winter approached, the light would slip away little by little each day until it would soon be dark for the winter.
as I lay in bed with a single beam caressing my outstretched hand, I felt the sunlight mirroring a love you cannot hold. beautiful but unattainable, untouchable, feeling them slip away from you knowing there's nothing you can do about it. the world keeps spinning as the seasons change, and all you can do is wait until spring comes again.
but sometimes people don't come back, and sometimes it is hard to believe the spring sunlight will, either.
