bus stops are liminal places of waiting and wanting, love and heartbreak. maybe someone is waiting to board a bus that will bring them closer to a loved one, or perhaps further away. are they waiting for someone to step off the bus, ready to welcome them with a warm embrace? mundane romance is my favourite kind, everyday scenes are where true love blooms.
but maybe we are waiting for something that may never come, a love that cannot be, or a life we are hoping will simply arrive to meet us like a city bus right on schedule. even if we know they cannot be, we are “still waiting”. tell me, what are you waiting for?
